Roto Grip Wicked Gremlin Bowling Ball

The Roto Grip Wicked Gremlin is a strong, traction-oriented piece that gives me a really good combination of midlane read and continuation. For reference, I’m a right-handed tweener with approximately 14–15 mph ball speed and a 220 rev rate. My Wicked Gremlin is drilled 55 x 4 1/8 x 35, giving me a layout that allows the core to rev predictably while still providing plenty of continuation through the pins. On the lane, I’m seeing strong traction through the front and midlane, with a very defined but controlled transition off the spot. The biggest surprise for me is how well this ball continues once it makes its move. It doesn’t feel like a ball that simply reads early and burns up; it maintains energy and keeps driving through the pin deck. For my game, this is going to be a great option when I need to blend out the wet/dry, control the midlane, and still have enough continuation to carry. It’s especially useful when I need more overall strength than a benchmark-type piece without going to something that feels overly early or lazy downlane. Bottom line: The Wicked Gremlin gives me the traction I’m looking for with enough continuation to make it a very usable piece when the lanes start getting slick or I need more overall ball strength. ? The Wicked Gremlin definitely lives up to its name! Mine is drilled 45×5×70, my traditional big asymmetrical solid layout, and it did not disappoint. The ball clears the front part of the lane extremely well for a strong solid, but what really surprised me was how much continuation it had through the backend. I expected a more forward, traditional big asymmetrical solid shape, but the Wicked Gremlin gave me a much stronger and more continuous move off the spot while still maintaining plenty of strength through the pins. It's an incredibly powerful and versatile piece when you need a strong solid that doesn't quit downlane. This ball is wicked!

Roto Grip Wicked Gremlin 3 1/4 × 5 × 3 on PBA O'Neill. The Rondure Maxd Core that was in the original Gremlin (pearl) paired with the GR-1 solid cover. I didn't get a whole lot of use out of the original pearl because most times it was just too clean but I am a huge fan of the Gremlin Tour-X which gives me a very controllable shape with a ton of predictability. I'm seeing the same with this Wicked Gremlin but just much earlier and stronger. It's not as responsive as the Tour-X. As I started to move a little left and added rotation it still wanted to see the lane so early. I feel like this ball will be great on heavier volumes early in the block when I can play straighter and keep my angles more in front of me. As they transition and some friction develops then I feel like I can go right to my Tour-X. I see those two balls being a really good 1-2 punch in my bag. I can honestly say the Gremlin series might be my favorite series Roto Grip has produced in a while. The Wicked Gremlin is the icing on the cake, this ball just rolls great and really digs into the lane. We have been testing a new shot with a bit more outside friction, this ball was so strong it allowed me to move left from where I would normally start and give it a little more shape. I really am looking forward to bringing this ball for some upcoming tournaments. The name isn’t a lie, this ball is truly Wicked.
