Additional product information:
The Katana Assault has an Rg of 2.50, a differential of .051, and an intermediate differential of .020. This core yields a quick response to friction and a lot of continuation through the pins. The Katana Assault and the new chemical compound cover known as HK22 Pearl create a new level of backend reaction. This is a Katana on steroids. A monster flip ball, a motion the industry has always craved and now we have brought it to a whole new level.
HK22 - HyperKinetic Pearl, referred to as HK22 PEARL. This is a new chemical compound made available through the hard work of our chemist; it is a whole new ball game when it comes to cover stocks. We used the base formula from the HK-22 resin but enhanced the down lane motion with projection additives and have created the HK22 Pearl.
With our new ball launches, we are featuring new drilling instructions offering a wide variety of ball motion with “no balance hole” options so that bowlers can make a smoother transition into the new ball specifications. Again, this is just another example of why Radical is quickly becoming a leader in bowling ball technology. We call it the #Radical Revolution.
At Radical Bowling Technologies, innovation is our commitment. We deliver high-tech, high-quality products for the betterment of the game ...Wow! That’s Radical!

Katana Assault = Monster Flip
Stats: PAP 4 over ¾ up, 15 mph, 18 tilt, 275 revs. I drilled mine 60x3.5x20. Designed for massive flip on the backend, this ball will not disappoint. For someone with average to lower revs like me, this ball provides a lot of help on the backend, recovering from parts unknown when I miss. This ball works best for me on medium oil conditions. Do not be afraid to get it out to the friction!

Katana assault
Katana Assault I’m a left handed bowler. My ball speed is around 14.5 mph. My Rev rate is around 275 rpms. I recently drilled the this ball. I’m layout choice is layout B (45 x 4 x 35). I think is ball is great. I use this ball for my first two games in league ( house shot). This ball is very quick off the spot at the break point. I’m amazed by how well it carry the pins. With Hk22 cover it is very clean through the fronts. And with its dual density core makes it continuous through the pins. Great job Radical Bowling Technologies. Another great piece of equipment. Thanks, Robert Way

Katana Assault
First set out of box was 777, high for the year. Second ball I’ve had drilled by Buddies, I’m happy with results! Will be getting more

Katana Assault
I went with a 40x4x30 drilling. My speed is 14.5 and low rev rate. The original Katana has always been one of my all time favorite balls so I was very excited for this one. This ball is very clean, gets down lane longer before making that monster hook into the pins continuing through the deck. I use this ball on medium oil lane conditions and see very little transition only needing to move 3 to 4 boards over a 3 game period.

Katana is back!!
The new Radical Katana Assault with the HK22 is the cleanest Radical ball I have ever thrown. Most of the bigger cores from Radical roll early for me, but not this new Katana. The Katana is very clean, Strong "Radical" midlane, super continuation on the backend. I went with a more forward layout due to amount of backend this ball has. ( 70 x 4.75 x 20) I am glad I did, even with the 20 back angle this ball still corners. It really rolls very heavy but on the quicker side response wise. It keeps the pins low and so far carry has been awesome.

Radical Katana Assault: adding to the legend!!
Radical Katana Assault Review Stats: LH: Speed – 17.0; RPM – 350; AT – 19; AR – 55 Layout: 45 x 5” x 65 Radical’s newest Top Shelf launch, the Katana Assault, is a newly engineered version of the legendary Katana series of balls, featuring several improvements that should surely get lots of attention. The Katana Assault and the new chemical compound cover known as HK22 Pearl create a new level of backend reaction. This is a Katana on steroids. I chose the layout I did to get the ball to roll forward a little sooner due to my slightly higher tilt but transition a bit slower to really utilize that longer, stronger roll phase of ball motion. I have used it on a couple of different patterns and here is my assessment: 42 ft. THS (typical house shot): The Katana Assault has been a very strong, yet predictable ball for the house shot in two centers I frequent. What I love about this ball is that it can handle decent volumes of oil, makes a quicker defined move off the spot, but is still predictable enough to control from shot to shot. Very versatile to cover changes, I took mine from box finish, down to 1000 and back up to 2000 polished, and it responds to all of those very well. If you are seeing too much early hook, take the cover up to 3000-4000, too much length, just sand it to 1000 or even 500, it takes to those changes extremely well! Do not be afraid to adjust the surface to your game, this ball can handle it! 36 ft. Viper pattern: I roll on this pattern every Tuesday, and the Katana Assault was the best ball in my bag on the fresh, alongside the Bigfoot Hybrid. I could play further in the sauce with the Katana Assault compared to the Bigfoot Hybrid, but they played off of each other very well. Projection and speed control are key on Viper, and the Katana Assault at 3000 was the perfect matchup. It rolled forward perfectly and hit heavy through the pins, carrying the off pocket hits extremely well. As the night progressed, I was able to move slightly further inside, roll the ball firm off my hand, and it saw the friction consistently, making my moves easier and more trustworthy, resulting in higher scores and more confidence in the ball. If you are looking for that quick responding, heavy rolling ball all the way through the pins from a high end asymmetric pearl, look no further than the Radical Katana Assault. Very clean
With a higher RG and featuring the new HK22 coverstock this release from Radical really gets down the lane easy. Clearly one of the cleanest balls through the front of the lane I've ever thrown. Very good recovery with right misses on house shots gives you plenty of confidence throwing it and its very fun watching it go through pins.

Super Strong Pearl
If you loved the original Katana's you will love this ball and if you never had one you are missing out!! Really clean coverstock combined with a fairly strong core creating a great smooth motion down the lane and through the pins. What I like most about this ball is I never have a problem with it getting down the lane. It is almost as clean as the Widow Ghost but overall earlier because of the core.

If you loved Katanas before, you'll love this
This ball is a great addition to the Radical line, and especially if you were a fan of the original Katana series. I find it to be very versatile in a sense that it can be used on multiple lane conditions and will give you the traction you need on heavier patterns yet can still be used when the need for a skid-flip reaction arises. I have a tall pin on mine and a 35 degree VAL angle. This gives me the length I need before the ball sees the friction but it still gets into a roll early enough. It's a vey versatile ball and it will also take to surface changes nicely. A good choice to add to your arsenal. If you only buy one or two balls a year this is a ball to definitely consider. Radical Katana Assault
The Radical Katana Assault is a nice option to have in the bag. It has the new HK22 cover-stock that blew me away in the Brunswick Defender Hybrid. The Katana Assault is a little cleaner getting down lane a bit farther than the Defender but has a stronger, more defined change of direction off the friction. It goes through the pins very strong. If you like having the head pin fly off the wall, this is your ball. They only give me 5 Stars to work with, but I would say it's a 4.7 star rating.
