ABOUT THE BLACK DRAGON HYBRID
Where the original Black Dragon owns the fresh and the Black Dragon Pearl owns the burn, the Hybrid takes the ground between them: cleaner through the front than the solid, stronger in the midlane than the pearl, with the same heavy asymmetric finish that made this line a favorite.
UNDERSTANDING THE SWAG DRAGON ASYMMETRIC CORE AND SWAG SCORCH HYBRID AP26
The Proven Engine of the Superior Performance Line
The Dragon Asymmetric Core powered the original Black Dragon and the Black Dragon Pearl, and it returns here unchanged because it never needed changing. At 15 lb it measures RG 2.49, Differential .050, and a .017 mass bias, numbers that produce a heavy, early-revving motion that stays on line through the pins.
This is the shape bowlers reach for when they want real asymmetric drive without flagship pricing: strong midlane presence, dependable recovery, and continuation that shrugs off carry-down.
The First Hybrid, and First AP26, in the Scorch Line
Scorch is the Dragon family’s coverstock, and this is both its first hybrid and its first Adhesion Promotion formulation. Scorch Hybrid AP26 blends solid traction on the fresh with pearl-like energy retention through the mids, while AP26 coupling agents enlarge the cover’s contact footprint for more traction, better oil absorption, and a longer usable cover life. At a 1500 Abralon finish it reads the midlane with authority while staying cleaner up front than the original solid.
